Transitional Housing/Shelter | Catholic Charities, Dioceses of Joliet-Transitional Housing

Provides housing to homeless families and their children, for up to 24 months, while the families work on financial and permanent housing goals. Case management, Parent Training, Individual or Family Counseling, Budget Counseling, Employment and Education Assistance services are also provided.

Application process

(1) All applicants must be referred through DuPage County's Coordinated Entry System and must be literally homeless at time of assessment/project entry, (2) Case worker will complete a phone intake with applicant, (3) Eligible applicants will complete an assessment with a case manager, (4) Required Documentation must be submitted for assessment.

Administrative Entity that oversees programs for families and individuals in crisis. Services and resources delivered out of this location include rental assistance, food, transportation assistance, medication, and clothing assistance to those who demonstrate a need. Also provides immigrant-related services and support in goal planning and assistance in accessing available resources. Services can be provided over the phone, through email, virtually and in person.
