Counseling uses problem-solving and support to improve the person's ability to cope with problems of daily living. Therapy focuses on directly reducing symptoms associated with a mental illness or emotional disturbance by using psychological interventions. Psychiatric services, which focus on diagnosing and treating mental health disorders and related conditions, is also offered. Psychiatric services may include: - Medication management. - Psychotherapy. - Other evidence-based treatments. Specific programs are available for children and adolescents to provide opportunities to develop/enhance social skills, increase self-esteem and self-confidence, and process issues in a group setting.
