(1) Call to speak to a volunteer staff member and discuss needs and explore options - calls may take between 30 to 45 minutes, (2) Based on the discussion, the staff will help identify appropriate referrals to community resources, (3) Callers will be required to fax or email documentation and participate in a budget counseling program, (4) Payments will be made directly to the landlord, or utility company, according to the caller's specific needs (5) Staff will make follow-up calls within weeks or months following service, to see how they are doing and to make additional community referrals or discuss long-term solutions if necessary
