Any time of day or night, the emergency medical specialists on staff at Thorek Memorial Hospital are available to care for patients with major medical emergencies. The Emergency Department serves both adults and children and is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.Thorek's ER is staffed by board-certified physicians and registered nurses certified in ACLS and PALS. Additionally, the ER is a sexual assault treatment center with counselors available around the clock.
