Description

Provides academic support for college-bound high schools students who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. This includes students who are low-income, first-generation, or have a disability. Offers the following services to support the students' successful transition to college: - Academic advising - Academic and personal development workshops - Tutoring and mentoring - Career exploration and shadowing - ACT/SAT preparation - College visits - College application and essay-writing - Financial aid and FAFSA completion - Financial literacy assistance and support TRIO is a federally-funded outreach and student service program designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.
