Application process

Referrals are accepted from schools, community organizations, faith-based institutions, probation departments, social service agencies, and self-referrals from community members. To enroll or receive services, individuals may contact NMSD directly by phone, email, or through community outreach events. Documentation requirements vary by program and will be discussed during intake.

Not My Sons and Daughters provides a variety of services for youth ages 8-18, including tutoring, literacy support, school advocacy, and mentorship programs designed to increase academic success and graduation outcomes.

Not My Sons and Daughters (NMSD) connects youth and young adults ages 8-30 and their families to education support and resources, economic opportunity, and trauma-informed support across Chicago and the South Suburbs. NMSD provides case management and supportive services for vulnerable populations, including justice-involved participants seeking reentry services, immigration support, and resource connections, as well as elderly and veteran case management and supportive services that include companionship, in-home care, and in-community support.
