MISSION OF MERCY | ILLINOIS MISSION OF MERCY

A two-day event that's held in a different geographic location in the state on a biannual basis ( The 2024 Mission of Mercy event will be held on June 28th and June 29th at the Peoria Civic Center). The IL MOM provides free dental care to patients who otherwise do not have the means or access to care. On site there will be a pharmacist, and the patient registration forms allow the dentists to write/sign for four medications - amoxicillin, clindamycin, ibuprofen, and acetaminophen. However, there are times, especially after extractions, when something stronger is needed. At these times, the clinical lead (Oral Surgery, Restorations, Endodontics) writes the RX and the pharmacist reviews the medication guidelines with the patient.
