Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiatives | LAKE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE - A Way Out

Provides drug users a fast-track to substance abuse programs and services. Individuals may surrender any drugs or paraphernalia without risk of criminal charges. A Deputy will immediately coordinate phone screening with the Lake County Health Department. Based on the evaluation, individual will begin outpatient or inpatient treatment. Application process

- Visit Sheriff's Office during program hours: A Deputy will coordinate an immediate intake and screening with the Lake County Health Department. Individuals experiencing an acute withdrawal will be assisted. - Call Sheriff's Office at any time: A Deputy will provide an escort for any individuals who cannot transport themselves. Individuals will immediately begin intake. - Visit Sheriff's Office after-hours: Locate call box on the wall to contact dispatch and request A Way Out services. Individuals will immediately begin intake.
