Chinese Mutual Aid Association's (CMAA) After School Matters program provides teens with an internship where they implement sports-based programming and help CMAA host the annual PlayStreets events, a block party for the whole community. ASM teens work with local youths at CMAA's summer camp and learn how to implement sports such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, and more. The ASM teens also implement PlayStreets, a program that promotes positive loitering, community engagement, how to foster a welcoming community, and how to encourage everyone to stay active and healthy.
