The Delta Area Economic Opportunity Corporation (DAEOC) is a private, not-for-profit organization governed by a local tri-partite board. The board is composed of eighteen persons from Dunklin, Mississippi, New Madrid, Pemiscot, Scott, and Stoddard counties in the Bootheel. The board consists of equal numbers of private sector, public sector, and low-income representatives. This organizational structure brings together local community leaders from each of the representative groups to respond to specific community needs.
