Middle School Ecology Internship

Homewood Science Center is sponsoring a conservation ecology-based internship for middle school students. This internship will complement the ecosystem science content and the science and engineering practices reflected in the Next Generation Science Standards for middle school. This internship is a student-led program supporting student agency and equitable practices.Service Dates: Saturdays for five weeks, starting May 4th, 2024 through June 8, 2024 (no meeting on Memorial Day Weekend, May 5/25/24)Applications open on 3/22/2024.

Students must complete this brief online application by Friday, April 26th. Applicants will be notified by Tuesday, April 30th. Attendance at internship sessions and the project presentation is required.

Eligibility

This internship is open to any 6th-8th grade students interested in conservation and ecology.
