Crime Victim Assistance

Chicago Survivors provides support for family members of victims of homicide through crisis response, case management, counseling, family support, and accompaniment. Family members may be accompanied by a liaison in hospital or medical examiners' office settings. Services are survivor-shaped, trauma-informed, family-centered, and delivered primarily in survivors' homes.

Eligibility

Family members must meet the following eligibility requirements: - Be a resident of Chicago/resident within 25 miles of the office. - Be an immediate family member or next of kin to a victim of homicide. Individuals must provide their address, a working contact phone number, and documentation of the Chicago Police Department report.
