Application process
(1) Dial the 988 Lifeline for support, OR (2) Chat with a crisis counselor online (3) Callers will have the option to choose between the Veterans Crisis Line or the Spanish Language Crisis Line, (4) If they do not choose an option, Illinois callers will be routed to an Illinois Lifeline Call Center, (5) For TTY users, dial 711 then 1-800-273-8255 or dial 711 then 988 (6) For LGBTQI+ trained counselor, dial 988 then press 3 or text PRIDE to 988.
