Program for individuals who need assistance with their grocery shopping needs, every Tuesday at Main Street Market. Volunteers call to take grocery orders and other volunteers shop the orders, giving these individuals an opportunity to remain in their homes longer.

Senior Care Options program available to older Nebraskans who are considering admission to a nursing home and may be eligible for Medicaid assistance. Clients are screened according to a standardized assessment process developed by the Department of Health and Human Services.

Care Managers arrange for services, which allow older adults to live as independently as possible, for as long as possible.

Housekeeping and supportive services to include grocery shopping, cleaning, laundry, transportation and personal care.

Family Caregiver Support for those caring for an aging adult or grandparents caring for a minor child. Provides information, assistance, support group, respite care, and supplemental services.

Clayton County Food Shelf provides food to those in need. Items available include boxed and canned food, diabetic food items, and baby items (when available) including diapers, formula, and baby food. There are usually have some perishable items on hand including: milk, bread, fresh produce in season, ground beef, venison, and eggs. Use of the pantry is limited to once a month; this may vary depending on circumstances. Home delivery is possible when necessary; call for information. The pantry is also available by appointment early mornings, late evenings, and weekends (call for an appointment). This is a participating TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) food pantry. Enrollment into TEFAP is confidential and requires proof of address and identification. Individuals participating in the FoodShare, School Nutrition Program, WIC, or Senior Meals programs may participate in TEFAP without impacting their ability to qualify for those programs.

Offers a Food for Seniors program providing groceries to income eligible seniors in Champaign and Urbana who are in need of food. Groceries are delivered by volunteers on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month

Emergency Food Fund for Seniors in Champaign and Douglas Counties is for seniors that have been determined to be in emergent need of food by caseworkers. Caseworkers may get food to cover them until other resources are available. (For example, a senior needs food on a Friday when there are no open food pantries). Caseworker will submit a request for emergency funds to shop and deliver food to the senior to cover the weekend.

Program which assists clients in maintaining their independence by providing skilled nursing, homemaker services or mobile meals and information and referral.

Home delivered meals are available in those situations where a client is in need of a warm nutritious meal and they are unable to prepare their own because of illness or disability. The meals and those individuals who volunteer to deliver those meals are coordinated through various local organizations.

Also offers community based meals that provides a social atmosphere that promotes healthy interaction with others while receiving a warm meal.

Meals on Wheels Home Delivery provides meals to people age 60 and older who are homebound and to their spouse. A home visit is made to explain the service and to explain other services available. Therapeutic diets, such as diabetic or mechanical soft, can be provided and the hot noon meals are delivered on the weekdays.

Offers congregate meals, home delivered meals to non elderly waiver holders in Knoxville only, and other nutritional programing to seniors such as shelf stable. Call 48 hours in advance for reservations for both congregate meals and delivery.
