Home Delivered Meals
Norwood Seniors Network's Home-Delivered Meal program provides a choice of a hot entreeand a light supper meal delivered to the senior's doorstep. Meals may be ordered Monday through Friday or as little as three times a week, providing a needed break from cooking. An on-staff registered dietician creates the menu selections, ensuring NSN clients a healthy, well-balanced meal. Their home-delivered meal service also serves as a well-being check.

Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) provides services to individuals with severe disabilities so they can remain in their homes and be as independent as possible. Customers may hire their own PAs to assist in their homes, based on the service plan they have jointly developed with their DRS rehabilitation counselor. Specialized services for people with HIV/AIDS and/or traumatic brain injuries (TBI) are also provided.

- Warm meals are delivered daily during the week, and frozen meals are delivered in boxes of 5 on Monday.

Oak Park Township Home Delivered Meal Program is more than a nutritious meal program, it's a friendly check-in from a trusted staff member or volunteer who delivers the meal. Meals are provided for individuals aged 60 and older (regardless of income) who have trouble getting around or preparing their own food. Meals include protein, vegetables, 1% milk or 100% juice, whole grain bread, and fruit. Special diets, including vegetarian, pescatarian, lactose-free, mechanical soft, and pureed meals are accommodated.

Second meals are available for those who are in need of more food. The second meal may be delivered cold or frozen. Weekend meals may also be available.
Village of Forest Park Howard Mohr Community Center provides activities for all Village residents while paying special attention to young children and senior citizens. Support services include a food pantry for temporary emergency relief for residents and Meals on Wheels for residents of any age based on a needs assessment. The Community Center is the home base for many senior activities with day trips scheduled out of the Center every week.
