(Our Home) offers the Emergency Shelter program maintains a culturally-inclusive and healing environment providing women and their children who are escaping abuse with a home-like atmosphere in which to heal and establish self-reliance and dignity for up to 90 days. While at the shelter, women may take part in counseling, legal advocacy, support groups, parenting classes, conflict management and communication training, art therapy, and parent-child cultural and recreational activities.

The Crib provides safe overnight shelter for up to 21 young adults ages 18 to 24. Dinner and breakfast are served and guests have access to showers and laundry facilities. Group and recreational activities are also available. In extreme weather, The City of Chicago asks The Crib to extend its hours and increase capacity to 25. The updated space includes a separate dorm room, a lounge, a dining and multi-purpose area as well as multiple shower and bathroom facilities.

The Maryville Crisis Nursery is a vital and innovative program that provides free short-term care for parents in distress and experiencing a crisis. The Crisis Nursery protects their children, from birth to age six, from abuse, neglect, or trauma.Children receive round-the-clock child care for up to 72 hours for each stay. This safe and nurturing environment is designed to protect them from harmful experiences and the damaging effects of trauma. Issues that bring families to the Maryville Crisis Nursery include unemployment, parental illness or hospitalization, poverty, and homelessness.

A case manager will work with clients while they are at the shelter to make a service plan for them and their children.
