BEDS Plus Summit Service Center operates a drop-in center for individuals in the south and southwest suburbs of Chicago experiencing homelessness. This includes case management, financial assistance, and other wrap-around services to help transition individuals back into permanent housing. It also includes 18 dedicated Medical Respite beds and a healthcare clinic for people experiencing homelessness with serious medical conditions.

Medical Respite is short-term residential and post-acute medical care for patients experiencing homelessness who are too ill or frail to recover from a physical illness while living in a shelter or on the streets, but who are not sick enough to be in a hospital. Housing Forward offers medical respite at two locations: RISE Center in partnership with Cook County Health & Sojourner House in partnership with MacNeal Hospital.
