Homebuyer Readiness Program: Provides workshops and coaching to assist individuals in improving finances to reach their goal of homeownership. Feature courses on credit, debt, budgeting, communicating, goals and saving money.
Provides a range of services which assists low-income people to attain skills, knowledge, and motivation necessary to achieve self-sufficiency, as well as help with immediate life necessities such as food, shelter, transportation, etc. Among the services offered to eligible individuals and families: - Case management. - Housing assistance. - Emergency assistance. - Literacy services. - Homebuyer assistance. - Volunteer assistance. - Homeless assistance. - Emergency food and shelter. - Budget and housing counseling. - Tax filing, and insurance assistance. Other services may include college scholarships, youth summer camp opportunities, benefit enrollment, employment training and associated required materials. Depending on funding, also offered are foreclosure prevention services, home ownership education services, downpayment savings plan, purchasing education and more.

Center of Concern employs HUD-certified Housing Counselors that also specialize in counseling seniors and their families on care options, referrals, and facility information. All housing services at Center of Concern requires going through their intake process.

Center for Changing Lives (CCL) partners with the Department of Housing to offer financial and housing coaches who partner with clients to uncover possibilities, overcome barriers, and achieve their financial goals. CCL provides first-time homebuyer workshops and credit-buying and personal finance tools.
LCDC offers detailed real estate listings, financial assistance programs, and guidance to empower your homeownership journey.
Provides rent assistance to Champaign County households at risk for homelessness due to a temporary hardship. Also provides information and referral to community resources, as well as housing counseling.

Education for homebuyers and homeowners.

Provides pre-purchase home buyer classes and counseling help clients decide whether homeownership is the best decision for them. These classes and counseling may also qualify clients for substantial down payment assistance programs.

Foreclosure avoidance and default intervention counseling is designed to help with whatever options there may be to save clients' homes, or get caught up on payments.

Reverse Mortgage Counseling is available for seniors desiring to stay in their homes by using their equity to produce lump sums for current needs, annuity payments and lines of credit for ongoing needs.

Provides housing counseling services to homeowners, renters, and potential homeowners. Services include homebuyer pre-purchase and post-purchase counseling and education, credit and budget counseling, debt counseling, rental/tenant counseling, and foreclosure prevention counseling.

Offers a free education program that provides an unbiased comprehensive overview of the home purchase process to help homebuyers make smart, informed decisions. Participants receive a detailed reference manual. These classes are designed to prepare families for financial responsibilities of becoming homeowners, how to best maintain their homes, and acclimate into their new neighborhoods.

Provides homebuyer education, as well as pre- and post-purchase counseling services at no cost to the homeowner. Services may include: - Pre-purchase counseling for new and first time homebuyers. - Homebuyer education. - Money management. - Credit counseling. - Post-purchase counseling on non-delinquency topics like improving mortgage terms and home improvement.
