Provides financial assistance designed for households with dependent children or individuals exceeding General Assistance budget guidelines and have an emergent need, such housing late payment or eviction notice, utility late payment or disconnect notice, or verified homelessness

Provides financial assistance for those experiencing financial hardship from a layoff, mental health issues, or strain from medical bills. Various assistance includes, rent, utilities, gas vouchers and prescriptions.

If client is eligible and has an eviction notice, the township can help with up to $300 in rental assistance for a single person or married couple, or $400 if children are in the home.

If client has been a shelter resident for at least 1 week of the last 10 days, the township can help with first month's rent (Capital Township only). Must be able to provide proof that client can afford the rent of where they are moving to or living at. Must be an address in Capital Township. Must live in a dwelling separate from the owner of the property. Available once every two years.
