The Des Moines Area Regional Transit Authority (DART) is the largest public transit agency in Iowa. DART provides resources for those who vanpool, walk, or bike. These services connect thousands of people every day to jobs, school, medical appointments, entertainment and more.

DART serves Altoona, Ankeny, Bondurant, Clive, Des Moines, Grimes, Johnston, Pleasant Hill, Polk County, Urbandale, West Des Moines and Windsor Heights.

DART operates a family of transportation services that make getting around Greater Des Moines easier and more convenient. Our fleet of 150 buses travel more than 15,000 miles daily throughout the region, making trips to shopping malls, major business districts, residential areas and schools.

Transit system serving the city of Bettendorf. Buses are low-floor, light duty, equipped with ramps, and seat 21 passengers. Three routes run every sixty minutes, including a connecting route to the Moline terminal and connections to Davenport CitiBus.

Dial-A-Bus service (also Paratransit) is available to all Bettendorf residents during regular hours under contract with River Bend Transit. 24 hour advance reservation is highly recommended, 563-386-1350.
Students who do not qualify for free transportation are eligible to ride at a half-fare rate by scanning and showing their ID when boarding the bus. Half-Fare bus passes and tokens can be purchased at DART Central Station or local retailers such as Hy-Vee, Price Chopper or Cash Saver locations.

Provides public bus transportation with fixed routes. Commuter route is also available to Midway Airport in Chicago.

Operates service six days a week. All Coralville routes operate past The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, both outbound and inbound, and originate from the Pentacrest.

Offers 13 fixed routes, a flexible route service in East Ames (EASE), a Dial-A-Ride service for persons with a disability, and a late night service (Moonlight Express).

Fixed routes and Dial-A-Ride operate every day of the year except Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

Moonlight Express operates from 10:30 pm-2:30 am on Friday and Saturday nights when Iowa State University is in session.

All fixed route trips shown in the time tables are wheelchair accessible and service animals are allowed (pets that are not service animals are prohibited).

Provides transportation via a van to and from the Wayne Township Senior Center.
Individual bus rides at a subsidized fee.

Bus service within Omaha city limits, Bellevue, Council Bluffs, Ralston, Papillion, and LaVista. Weekday a.m. and p.m. rush hour Express Service to and from downtown Omaha.

Express ORBT Bus Service available on Dodge Street in Omaha.

Bus route schedules and maps are available online. Riders can track buses live at myride.ometro.com. Users may also sign up for MyRide text alerts to be notified of any service interruptions, detours, or closed stops. Printed schedules are available by request at Metro headquarters or riders can call customer service for help.

Employers may have pass programs for employees or students that allow them to ride the bus with their employee or student ID; employees should ask their Human Resources Departments what mass transit options they offer.

The public transportation provider for Champaign, Urbana, Savoy, and the University of Illinois.

Bus routes include:

-- Fixed Routes: Main bus routes that operate on a regular schedule. All fixed route buses can be kneeled, or, lowered, and are ramp-equipped and accessible to persons with disabilities.

-- Hopper Service: MTD has several routes that include 'Hopper' Service (Green, Yellow, Gold, and Orange). While regular buses serve the entire route, 'Hopper' buses only serve the portion of the route that experience the heaviest rider volume.

Public transportation to Rock Island, Milan, Moline, East Moline, Silvis, Carbon Cliff, Colona, and Hampton; connecting routes to Iowa are available.

Channel Cat water taxi operates Memorial Day through Labor Day, including weekends, weather permitting; cost is $8 for adults, and $4 for children ages 2-10; tickets are for all day unlimited use on day of purchase.

Van service that operates within a designated service boundary not served by fixed routes. Provides curb-to-curb service that connects outlying areas to fixed-route service. Request a trip in the MTD Connect app (by Via) or by phone.

Village of Norridge operates a free bus service daily, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 3:00pm, within the Village limits. The bus does not operate from Noon to 1:00pm. This transportation is provided at no charge to residents.

General public mass transportation system consisting of Point-Deviated Routes.

Provides the regional public transit system. Open to the general public. Door-to-door service is available as needed.

Operates fixed route bus service for Madison County Transit to any person who is traveling along the fixed route, destinations include shopping centers, hospitals, work site locations, etc. throughout Madison County, Illinois.

Provides transportation to the residents of Rockford and the surrounding area.

Bus service within the City of Lincoln.

Senior and disability transportation in coordination with the League of Human Dignity. Services include wheelchair accessibility on the regular route service, Handi-Van, and a reduced bus fare with a Senior Citizen Identification card or a Go For Less card.

Pilot program to provide free bus, MOBY, and ORBT rides during Metro's regular service hours for any K-12 student in Omaha and the surrounding area.

High school students must show school-issued IDs when boarding. Students without school-issued ID, may receive a free Metro K-12 card by bringing proof of high school enrollment to the Metro office Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4 pm.

Elementary and middle school students can inform the bus operators that they are students.

Serves as the local bus/transit.
Busses/and or metrolink transport individuals to a specific destination or to other locations within the community following standard and fixed time schedules.
The Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation (NEICAC) - Transit Program is a public transit provider. For most services, people will be picked up at their door. Transportation is provided for a variety of needs including, but not limited to, work, school, doctor’s appointments, shopping, or to visit family and friends. Drivers are able to accommodate wheelchairs or other needed devices such as walkers or oxygen, bariatric wheelchairs etc.. Rural transportation services are available in all rural areas of Allamakee, Clayton, Fayette, Howard, and Winneshiek counties. In-town service is available in Cresco, Decorah, Elkader, Guttenberg, Oelwein, Waukon, and West Union. In-town schedules vary by community.
