Senior Ride Programs | PACE - Ride Lake County

Offers reservation-based transportation services for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Provides curb-to-curb service. All buses are wheelchair accessible and equipped with lift ramps. NOTE: Individuals with disabilities must be ADA Paratransit Certified. Call the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) ADA Paratransit Certification program to request an application and schedule an in-person eligibility interview.

ADA Paratransit Service - Pace Suburban Bus - Mailing Address

Pace Suburban Bus provides reservation-based paratransit for individuals who are ADA certified by the Regional Transportation Authority. Riders who are certified for ADA can also use Pace's Taxi Access Program (TAP) for trips that begin within the City of Chicago. The TAP program is less expensive than paratransit and often more convenient because rides do not have to be scheduled the day before.

Transportation - Oak Park Township - Senior Services

Oak Park Township offers transportation services to residents 60 years and older and to persons aged 18 and older with disabilities. Service is provided curb-to-curb within Oak Park and River Forest, and all buses are equipped with lifts for full accessibility. Safe, reliable service can be arranged for any purpose, including: medical appointments, social activities, and errands. Rides to Loyola Hospital in Maywood, Hines VA, and Gottlieb Hospital in Melrose Park may be requested by calling (708) 383-4806 and making a reservation.

Pace On Demand - Pace Suburban Bus - Mailing Address

Pace Bus Service On Demand offers a reservation-based, shared-ride service in 10 designated service areas throughout the suburban region. All riders have to do is book online or call to reserve their trip at least one hour (or up to 7 days) in advance and pay with Ventra or cash when boarding. On Demand is open to the general public, so anyone can book a trip and ride the service, as long as the trip starts and ends within one of the On Demand zones.

Orland Township provides curb-to-curb service to seniors, ages 55 and older, that live within the boundaries of Orland Township. Transportation is available to shopping areas, senior centers, and other service providers within Orland Township. Transportation to medical appointments outside Orland Township boundaries may also be arranged. Transportation service is available Monday through Friday from 8:15am to 4:00pm.

Special Needs Chicago Transportation Services provides ADA-accessible transportation services throughout Chicago and the suburbs. They offer non-emergency transit for seniors and people with disabilities in wheelchair-accessible vehicles 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They also offer long-distance and out-of-state transport upon request.

Transportation Services for Seniors - Stickney Township - Louis S. Viverito Senior Center

Stickney Township offers a door-to door mini bus service available for township residents 60 years of age or older, or under 60 and disabled. This program provides access to medical clinics, doctor's offices, shopping, congregate meal sites when available and other destinations. The buses are lift-equipped. Passengers who are unable to get to and from the bus will require an escort. A mini-bus pass is needed to ride the bus and each person may ride the bus on weekdays, round-trip to one destination, five times per week.

Lemont Township sponsors a door-to-door service within Lemont Township boundaries. The bus operates Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm. Advanced reservations are required for all riders and can be scheduled by calling the Lemont Township at (630) 257-2522.

Village of Crestwood has a small Pace Bus that is available to all Crestwood residents to use to get around town. The bus will take residents anywhere within the Village of Crestwood corporate limits. The Dial A Ride bus service is available, Monday through Friday during the operating hours of 9:00am to 3:45pm. The Dial A Ride bus service is not available on observed Holidays when Village Hall is closed. The bus is equipped with a lift to accommodate wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and walkers.
