Senior Ride Programs | Downers Grove Township - Human Services

Dial-A-Ride Program is a curb-to-curb shared-ride service for Downers Grove Township residents who are 65 and over. It is also a service for qualified persons with disabilities of any age. Riders with disabilities, who are UNDER 65, must have an RTA/ADA card.

Provides one ride per week to any registered Champaign County resident for medical appointments, financial errands, grocery shopping, or personal errands. Two rides may be provided for those receiving dialysis or other physician ordered therapies.

Rides must be scheduled two days in advance.

Offers curb-to-curb transportation service. ADA Paratransit service is provided by reservations only, and all reservations must be made at least one day prior to service. Eligible riders must submit an application and be registered prior to using this service.

Palatine Township provides curb-to-curb service anywhere within the Palatine Township boundaries to senior and disabled residents. Additionally, Township vehicles go to Arlington Heights on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays for medical appointments only. All vehicles are lift-equipped to accommodate most mobility devices.
