The Commission investigates, mediates and, if warranted, adjudicates violations of the Cook County Human Rights Ordinance that protects all people in the County from discrimination and harassment in employment, public accommodations, housing, credit transactions, and County facilities, programs and services.

The American Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in employment, State and local government, public accommodations, commercial facilities, transportation and telecommunications. Provides information about regulations and compliance as it relates to the ADA.
