Village of Forest Park Howard Mohr Community Center provides activities for all Village residents while paying special attention to young children and senior citizens. Support services include a food pantry for temporary emergency relief for residents and Meals on Wheels for residents of any age based on a needs assessment. The Community Center is the home base for many senior activities with day trips scheduled out of the Center every week.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is available free to taxpayers with low and moderate income, with special attention to those 60 and older. Free, year-round tax assistance is also available on the Internet. A number of volunteer opportunities are available as well such as assisting with filling out tax returns, being a greeter and organizing paperwork, being a translator, etc.
