Services

Courts

Provides circuit court services to Alexander, Jackson, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Pulaski, Saline, Union, and Williamson Counties. The Circuit Clerk can help individuals find court dates, court records (copies are available for a nominal fee) and can assist with court fines. Documents are not available to view online due to the Administrative Office of Illinois Courts policy on electronic access.

Provides court services to individuals in Crawford County. Including supervision (probation) of adults or juveniles, information or support with the legal system, help with other social agencies, access to individual or group counseling, and an abuser treatment program.

Provides circuit court services to Lee County residents. The Circuit Clerk is part of the administrative arm of the judicial branch of government. Also collect fines and assessments ordered by the court, to be disbursed accordingly.

Provides circuit court services to Kankakee County residents. The Circuit Clerk is part of the administrative arm of the judicial branch of government. Also collect fines and assessments ordered by the court, to be disbursed accordingly.

Provides circuit court services to Champaign County residents. The Circuit Clerk is part of the administrative arm of the judicial branch of government. Also collect fines and assessments ordered by the court, to be disbursed accordingly.

Provides circuit court services to Vermilion County residents. The Circuit Clerk is part of the administrative arm of the judicial branch of government. Also collect fines and assessments ordered by the court, to be disbursed accordingly.

Teens who plead no contest to misdemeanor charges, non-violent felonies, and ordinance violations are referred to Peer Justice instead of municipal or Juvenile court. A sentencing hearing is conducted with a judge and teen, volunteer jurors. The jury determine a sentence.

Offers drug court that serves non-violent offenders with substance use addictions. Program aims to lessen/reduce offender's charges, penalties, or sentences.

Diversion program for teens who are first time misdemeanor offenders. The program focuses on youth development and accountability. Defendants are judged by their peers. Teens are involved in the court process as jurors, bailiffs, clerks, and attorneys.
A diversion and accountability program directed toward juvenile misdemeanor offenders who have admitted guilt or participation in an offense. Peer Court involves a teen jury system, which brings together juvenile offenders, their peers, and community agencies to determine consequences for the offenses. The peer court holds hearings to determine the circumstances of the offense and develop contracts with the offenders, which include restitution, apologies, community service work, and educational programs.

Range of duties include: - Felony, misdemeanor and traffic prosecutions under state law. - Juvenile actions, including delequency, abuse, and neglect. - Civil representation of the county and its officers and officials. - Victim/witness services. - Bad check restitution program. Other services include: - Children's Advocacy Center. - Orders of Protection. - Crime Prevention and Community Education programs. - Drug Court. - Identity Theft Response Assistance. - Community presentations. - Walk-in complaints.
