Provides public education and prevention programs covering various topics related to domestic violence and sexual assault/abuse. Our counselors and speakers are available for onsite visits to schools, workplaces, worship centers, and organizations to address children, adolescents, and adults. Professional training for various professional groups is also available.
Provides crisis shelter for those who are victims of domestic violence. In addition, the following services are provided for both domestic violence and sexual assault survivors: - Legal advocacy. - Medical advocacy. - Prevention education. - Supportive counseling. - Sexual assault victim therapy. - Children's counseling (domestic and sexual violence). - Case management.

Family Formation Program: Provides child abuse prevention training to prepare parents to become responsible adults and to reconnect fathers with their children and families. Clients participate for one year administered in two phases. Phase I is a classroom style training for six-weeks. Phase II is extensive case management and follow-up for one year.

Offers to work with perpetrators of domestic violence to intervene in an abusive relationship to ensure the safety of the survivor and their children. Assists the batterer in recognizing and understanding their beliefs that justify the use of violence. PAIP is 26 sessions, each session lasting 90 minutes.

In addition to PAIP Galena Clinic also provides evaluations regarding potential for violence and referrals to other programs such as anger management counseling, substance abuse treatment, or psychotherapy, if deemed appropriate.

Offers a 24-week program for women who have been identified as a survivor/victim of intimate partner violence. Group members learn about the nature of abuse as well the impact of domestic violence on children and families. This group is currently offered online via Zoom.

Offers a crisis line for families and survivors of sexual abuse, domestic abuse or any other violent crime. A specially trained advocate will answer the crisis line and assist in any matter pertaining to sexual abuse, domestic abuse, or any other violent crime by listening and providing information, support and referrals. The crisis line is staffed 24 hours a day year-round.

Provides emotional support, individual counseling, support groups and therapy. Offers support and information for significant others, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, children's individual and group counseling, sheltering and housing services, along with general advocacy to help all community systems enhance their response to domestic abuse, sexual abuse or any other violent crime victims.

Provides all children suspected of being physically abused, sexually abused, or neglected with timely expert medical evaluations and treatment, as well as serving the community as a resource for prevention, research, and education.

- MERIT case coordinator will receive requests for evaluation.
- The coordinator will arrange for second opinions from other CAC's or DCFS investigators.
- Medical personnel will collaborate with investigative providers to determine next steps.

- When first contacted, several members of BACA will ride to the child's house and present the child with a patch, stickers, and a photograph of the child with their new biker family. Two bikers are assigned to the child as their primary contacts.

- If abuse or harassment continues, members will create a presence at the home, being visible at times when the family may be most vulnerable.

- Court appearances are also available. Assigned bikers will appear in order to provide support for the child and reduce fear about testifying against their abuser.

Other services available:

- Providing escorts if the child feels unsafe.

- Riding by the child's home on a regular basis.

- Staying with children if they are alone or frightened.

- On-site support if needed, for the child's reassurance.
