Community Healing Resource Center provides holistic healing services and trauma-informed care to people impacted by gun violence and other forms of violence, directly or indirectly, free of charge. The model not only serves victims of violent crimes and their families but the entire community as well. The Community Outreach Program provides counseling, advocacy, and outreach to survivors of domestic violence. Community Outreach staff facilitate workshops in schools to educate students on the signs and effects of domestic violence. They also teach conflict resolution and healthy relationship-building skills. Community Outreach staff facilitate over ten on-site and community-based support groups weekly for victims of domestic violence. These provide a safe, confidential place for survivors to express their feelings and experiences while receiving the support and empowerment they need to make healthy, secure choices for themselves and their families.
