The Community Healing Resource Center provides holistic healing services and trauma-informed care to people impacted by gun violence and other forms of violence, directly or indirectly. Their model not only serves victims of violent crimes and their families but the entire community as well. They know that everyone who resides in the community is impacted by the trauma of violence.

Crisis Center of South Suburbia's "Safe Start" Teen Dating Violence Prevention Program is designed to help reduce the prevalence and effects of domestic violence by providing education, prevention and intervention strategies. In addition to Dating Violence, curriculum topics include bullying, conflict resolution, internet safety, and respect.

Arab-American Family Services (AAFS) provides education and prevention services meant to promote healthy relationships and reduce events of interpersonal abuse in the home.

Elder abuse prevention and awareness.
Safe place for children who are alleging sexual and/or physical abuse, have witnessed a violent crime, witness to domestic violence, and/or been kidnapped to be interviewed by law enforcement, case workers, or forensic interviewer. Coordinated multi-disciplinary approach to the ongoing investigation of child abuse cases which includes law enforcement, protection and safety workers, legal, mental health, medical and trained professionals. Hair testing for drug endangered children and S.A.N.E. exams for children ages 0-16 years. Provides referrals to mental health services and support groups, and follows the case through the legal system. Assists parents in reporting abuse or following up on reports already made. Offers community educational presentations.

S.A.N.E stands for Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner which is a registered nurse or nurse practitioner who has completed specialized training to assist sexual assault victims. They collect all forensic evidence and perform exams.

Provides trained volunteers and professionals who are knowledgeable about child abuse and general parenting issues. The volunteers are available for scheduled presentations to individual, groups, and organizations. Presentations can be tailored to a variety of audiences. Some topics include: communicating with your child, child development, shaken baby syndrome, positive discipline, signs and symptoms of child abuse/neglect, mandatory reporter training, Talking About Touching (sexual abuse prevention), and the impact of children's exposure to violence.

Offers to serve men and women who have been abusive in relationships. Groups are educational, and run for 26 weeks. Emphasis is on changing beliefs that lead to violence, using tools to reduce impulsivity, and developing accountability for choices that lead to violence. Men's and women's groups are separate.

Nurturing Parenting Group - 12 week program designed to teach parents the philosophy and practices of nurturing parenting and raising healthy caring children. Sliding scale available. Open to anyone who wants to join. Meets on Mondays, 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm. Can join anytime during the 12 weeks.

Provides abuse and crisis intervention services to those going through a domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or sex trafficking situation. Services include a family violence crisis line, counseling or counseling referrals for survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault, emergency shelter and transportation, peer support groups, and child advocacy.

Protection order assistance, criminal justice/legal advocacy, and medical advocacy are also available to those who may need it.

Support group for victims of domestic violence. Open to anyone who is experiencing or has experienced abuse in an intimate relationship, including individuals who are still involved in the abusive relationship. Transportation available.
