School District 175 - Pre K: Offers half day pre-K classes which provides pre-academic skill development such as shape, color and number recognition, outdoor play, observation of nature and pets, dancing and rhythms, block building, playhouse activities, games, simple excursions outside the school, stories and picture books.
Home Based Option Head Start: Home visitors work with parents and children in their homes once a week. Focus on child development activities, teaching and modeling activities and other Head Start components.

Discovery Center for Little Scholars: A comprehensive program which, in partnership with parents, provides a wide array of education, health and family support services for low income, preschool children and families.
Head Start: Provides a federally funded educational enrichment program for children. Services provided through a Center Based or Home Based model, depending on the service area.

Offer opportunities for parents to participate in a research-based parenting curriculum that builds on parents' knowledge and offers parents the opportunity to practice parenting skills to promote children's learning and development.

Early Head Start is specific to meet the developmental needs of infants and toddlers. Offers home-based options with a weekly visit from a teacher in the family's home along with two special days a month for activities with other families.

Administers Head Start, a comprehensive developmental preschool program for children. At the three center locations throughout McHenry County, open enrollment is available at any time and emphasis is on school readiness.

Also provided the following classes, parent training, health and dental screening, social services and a nutrition program.

Transportation may be available in certain areas For qualifying families.
