High School Equivalency/GED Test Instruction
The Missouri Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) Program provides assistance that helps Missouri adults get the basic skills they need to be productive workers, family members, and citizens. The major areas of support are Adult Basic Education, Adult Secondary Education, and English Language Acquisition. These programs emphasize basic skills such as reading, writing, math, English language competency, and problem-solving.
Offers adults opportunities to improve basic education skills to transition to the workforce. Offers classes in-person and online via Zoom. Services include: - English as a Second Language (ESL) classes - Citizenship Preparation Classes - Adult Basic Education - GED testing and preparation - Digital Literacy and Keyboarding Skills - Career training
The program offers classes at all educational levels to help students obtain a High School Equivalency certificate (GED) or to remedy basic skills deficiencies. Classes are open-entry and offered throughout the district in face-to-face, hybrid, and remote formats. Bridge Programming is also available to assist students in their transition to post secondary.

Adult Basic Education
Offers the following free classes to individual age 16 and older: GED/HSE preparation classes, Online GED/HSE preparation, Reading Readiness, Job Skills, Math Readiness, Healthcare, Manufacturing, ESL (English as a Second Language), and Transition skills classes. Literacy services and tutoring are available to eligible individuals.

High School Equivalency/GED Test Sites
Program designed to help students increase grade levels and ultimately obtain their GED diploma. Provides GED classes for students with reading levels at 8th grade and above, and Pre-GED classes for those at reading levels of below 8th grade. Each student will also be offered case management to help them succeed and overcome any barriers that may stop them from furthering their education. This program also provides free scholarships for students who are ready to take a GED test or a practice GED test and can not afford the fees.
Classes are provided for adults wanting to obtain their High School Equivalency Diploma (HSE). Classes will prepare students for HiSET examinations in the areas of reading, writing, math, science and social studies.

High School Equivalency/GED Test Instruction

Offers GED, English as a Second Language (ESL), and Academic ESL (AEP) programs, as well as basic skill instruction in reading, writing, and math.

GED Program provides instruction in language arts, science, social studies, and math to prepare students to complete their State of Illinois High School Diploma (GED), and to assist the interested students in preparing for enrollment in college courses, training programs, and employment.

ESL Program can help students improve their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Classes range from providing basic language skills for beginners to helping advanced students prepare for high education, training, or a career.

Academic ESL Program program is designed to assist advanced-level, non-native English speakers to prepare for and transition to further education at RCV, career readiness, and success skills are included.

AEP coursework covers grammar, writing, reading strategies, listening and speaking vocabulary development

Supports several grant-funded opportunities for instruction to help adults improve their life skills throughout the 15-county area. Includes Basic Skills/GED and English as a Second Language classes. There also are many volunteer opportunities available.
