Provides support services to developmentally disabled young adults ages 17 and older, to: Pursue a higher education Employment development Transition to independent living Caregiver support services and trainings are also offered.
As A Safe Haven has implemented two approaches - Bridge and IET - within their program delivery. The approaches help eligible students or trainees pursue their career goals, earn an industry-recognized certification, and gain employment. Using the components of Bridge and IET, A Safe Haven helps to prepare eligible individuals in the following occupations or sectors: Culinary, Custodial Engineering, Security, and Welding.
Breakthrough Beyond supports youth ages 13-24 as they transition into college or careers. Program offerings include youth employment, scholarship opportunities, internships, family support, behavioral health services, and community resource assistance. Breakthrough is committed to the success of Garfield Park youth as they navigate adulthood.
The program offers the following free services to eligible students: professional tutoring, supplemental instruction (peer tutoring), advising, lunch workshops (topics include study skills, time management, and financial literacy), scholarship assistance, cultural events such as museum and theater visits, and a student parent support group.

Youth Academic Navigators are education-focused case managers who check in with students frequently and help with issues as they emerge to ensure students are making progress and earning credits in school.

Tutoring and elective classes offered for students who need academic assistance or alternative ways to earn high school credit. Certified teachers specialize in creating a small, caring classroom environment with a focus on individual students and their success.

Career Navigators assist students with postsecondary planning and connections for both career and educational opportunities. Services are also available to graduates.

Reengagement Partnership with Omaha Public Schools staff members to reengage students who have withdrawn from school but are eligible to enroll. The Career Navigator also partners with OPS Multiple Pathways programs to provide services in postsecondary planning and connections to students in these programs.

Academic assistance program funded through TRIO Grants by the U.S. Department of Education. The program is designed for low-income, first-generation college students or students with a disability. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with their TRIO/SSS advisor once a month, and are encouraged to participate in one of the various program activities each month.

Provides free services to low income 6th-12th graders who are potential first generation college students. The program provides career and college exploration, college campus visits, ACT Test Prep, financial aid application assistance, college and scholarship application assistance and guidance through the college process. May also provide ACT testing fee waivers and college application fee waivers for eligible students.

Provides a consultation session to help develop goals for individuals with a disability between the ages of 16-22. Offers assistance with educational planning, vocational training, living skills development, and community engagement. Note: Aspires Transition Planning Consultation is a private pay service.
Serves as intermediary agency between the Illinois State Board of Education and the local school districts in the region. Provides educational services to school districts, including: - Technical support - Registration of teaching certificates - Inspection of school buildings - Truancy prevention - School bus driver training - Professional development - GED administration - Home schooling Note: Due to the Coronavirus response period, the office is open for appointments only.
Offers assistance for people in Western Nebraska looking to pursue postsecondary education. Several free services are designed to help program participants understand their educational options, and navigate the college admissions and financial aid process. Focuses on a diverse population of first-generation students and veterans.

Program designed to make college admission and success possible for students from low-income backgrounds by providing the tools, strategies and support needed to navigate and overcome challenges to college graduation.

Uses a near-peer coaching model, powered by AmeriCorps, to provide intensive mentorships and role-model support to students. AmeriCorps coaches are recent college graduates who provide direct service and guidance to students through every stage of the college process from college admission to enrollment and persistence, starting from a student's junior year of high school and continuing through college graduation.

Provides the following coaching services to eligible students:

-- Financial literacy and financial aid consulting;

-- Enrollment and high school-to-college transition coaching, including identifying academic interests and majors;

-- Building social-emotional learning skills;

-- Professional communications and mentorship;

-- Academic expectations and responsibilities;

All services are provided at no cost to students or their families.
