The Department refers clients to private labs for more complex well testing. It also licenses water well drillers and require permits for the installation of portable water wells.
Jackson County Private Sewage System Evaluation & Permits conducts an on-site evaluation of private sewage systems for homeowners who may be having problems with their system, or when required by a lending institution during a property transaction. If the evaluation results in the installation of a new sewage system, the new permit application fee will be waived.
