Infant, children and adult immunizations Immunization outreach clinics in the public and parochial school Annual public flu vaccine clinics Child Nurse Consultation Program Nodaway County Health Center nurses provide on-site visits to child care providers to assess health and safety issues, provide staff training and promote good health and safety practices in children by presenting entertaining and inter-active health-based programs for the children and providers.
- Provides nurse visits for veterans or the surviving spouse of a veteran. - Provides nurse visits for Medicaid recipients.
Visits to pregnant women and newborn infants are made by the Health Department nurses. Additional visits can also be ordered by a physician.
The Nurse-Family Partnership, Building Blocks Program: A free program that helps moms to have a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby. Assist with parenting, building support networks, safety, referrals for services in the community, supplies, helping with goals for career/future. A specially trained nurse will visit the first-time expectant mother in her home throughout the pregnancy and for the first two years of the baby's life, from once a week to every other week.
