Child safety seat inspections provided free of charge, held at the Hastings South Fire Department. If a new seat is needed, they are sold at a reduced rate if the child receives Medicaid, Kids Connection, or WIC.

Child Passenger Safety Seats
Provides Child Passenger Safety Technicians who are able to help educate caregiver on proper use of car seats. This program can provide no-cost car seats to families in need, but does not distribute infant carriers. This program gives convertibles, combinations, and booster seats. The convertible seat can accommodate a baby as small as 5 pounds.
Provides the following services: home health care (skilled nursing, home care aids, homemakers), immunizations, dental services, prenatal education, new baby home visits, lead poisoning prevention, physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. Also provides communicable disease information and control.
