Offers dental screenings to children through Child Health and School Sealant Program. MICA works with child and adult dental screenings through its I-Smile program.

Provides health screenings to medically underserved minority populations:

-- Hearing and Vision Examinations.

-- Oral Health Screenings.

-- A1C Screenings.

Participants will receive their results immediately after completing the screening. No additional information is required for the screenings. If a health problem is found, the client is referred to the nearest available health clinic.

Provides dental screenings, fluoride varnishes, sealant, oral health education, presumptive care for low-income families who may qualify for Medicaid or hawk-I, care coordination to help ensure dental access, and partnership with local medical and dental providers. I-Smile also serves WIC clients by providing dental screening, applying fluoride and helping coordinate dental appointments.

I-SmileT @ School is a dental program that provides at no-cost dental screenings, sealants, fluoride varnish and education for students. Because tooth decay can impact a student's ability to learn, eat, sleep, speak properly and build self-confidence, I-SmileT @ School services are provided during the school day and prevent kids from missing school for dental visits.

Education and colon cancer screening kits to the community to encourage prevention and early detection of colon cancer.

Tai Chi and Bingocize fall prevention classes held in communities to help decrease falls in the community.

School nursing.

Substance abuse prevention through the Healthy Communities Initiative. Coalition works together to provide education and activities to reduce drug and alcohol use among youth.

Dental screenings and education offered to preschool and grade school children. Sealants and flouride treatments also available.

Childhood and adult vaccines for all people are provided at each of Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department's three locations in Norfolk, Tekamah and Wisner. Includes vaccines for those who are privately insured, Medicare, Medicaid and those who are uninsured.

Offers the following health services to Webster County residents:

Care For Yourself: Early detection of breast and cervical cancer for women age 50 and over, including mammograms and Pap tests. Must meet income guidelines. Call (515) 281-7689.

Family Planning/Reproductive Health: Offers confidential services for adolescents and adults to help guide decisions regarding reproductive healthcare needs. Clinic hours are Wed 8 am-4:30 pm, Thu 8 am-4:30 pm (by appointment only), Fri 8 am-12 pm.

i-Smile: Dental services for children ages 0-21, including dental screenings, preventive fluoride, dental care education, sealants to children in 2nd through 8th grades, and help making dentist appointments.

Maternal Health: Prenatal program providing information and education to pregnant women on having a healthy pregnancy and getting ready for their baby.

Senior Health: Services for seniors 60 years of age and older, including health education, blood pressure screenings, foot clinics, and the I-Smile Silver program.

WIC (WOMEN, INFANTS, CHILDREN): Nutrition information for pregnant women, new mothers, and mothers with children under age 5. Can provide $50 or more a month for groceries, even if already employed and/or receiving food stamps; must be Medicaid-eligible.

Clayton County Visiting Nurse Association provides services for income-eligible children. Services include: Referrals to community resources and medical or dental care, EPSDT - Care for Kids care coordination and informing, Free lead testing and immunizations for children, Age-specific health education and individual follow-up on health care needs and referrals, Help to access professional dental care, Age-specific oral health education and screening, Dental care coordination services, Referrals to Maternal Health services, Assist with finding transportation, Developmental Screening for children ages 2 months thru 5 years, and Case management for children with identified needs. Clayton County VNA also identifies, coordinates, and provides needed services/referrals for proper growth and development for children 0-3 years with area Early ACCESS Program. The hawk-i Program offers Presumptive eligibility services for Medicaid or hawk-i income eligible children 0-19 who need immediate and temporary health or dental coverage.

Provides comprehensive and general dentistry to all ages, including preventative exams, x-rays and cleanings. Comprehensive services include fillings, extractions, crowns periodontal care, root canals (evaluated on a case by case basis), and dentures. Provides emergency treatment on a walk-in basis. Bilingual dental staff in Spanish. University of Iowa senior dental student rotation site.

**Beginning January 1, 2024, the Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department Dental Clinic will only see patients with the following Medicaid dental plans: Envolve as the dental provider for Nebraska Total Care, or Dental Benefit Providers as the dental provider for UnitedHealthcare, and Skygen as the dental provider for Molina.

Clients choosing to work with a different Medicaid plan will need to find another dental office by contacting your health plan information. Please feel free to contact the Dental Clinic at (402) 441-8015 with questions.**
