Assistive Telephone Technology: Assistive telephone equipment is made available to individuals with disability related needs. Equipment includes voice activated, touch activated, large number keypad, amplified and TTY equipment for those with hearing loss. Will assist individuals with choosing the correct phone for their needs.
Sorenso Video Relay Service: Assistive device helps give a variety of ways in which to communicate to those who are deaf and hard of hearing: Also, used to break down barriers as a tool for those who are not exposed to the deaf community to community with them.
Offers assistance with selecting and purchasing specialized assistive equipment for people who have a disability that would otherwise prevent access to the telephone system.
Provides access to basic voice telephone calling for individuals with all types of disabilities by giving options of available equipment.
Provides adaptive telephone equipment, telephone signaling devices or adaptive computer equipment for individuals with disabilities.
Free amplified phone to Illinois residents who are deaf, hard of hearing, late deafened, or speech disabled.

Specialized Telecommunications Equipment
The TAP program assists people seeking to obtain special phones designed to compensate for disabilities that prevent or hinder people from using a regular telephone. BAILS can help you obtain an amplified phone, one with large numbers, one that operates using just a breathe of air, TTY machines for those who have a severe hearing impairment, signaling devices that let you know when a call is coming in, and several combinations of all the above.

Specialized Telecommunications Equipment
Provides access to basic telephone calling (both sending and receiving) for individuals with all types of disabilities. A full range of adaptive equipment is provided at no cost for those that meet the eligibility requirements. The program provides such equipment as text telephones, voice carry over phones, phones for hearing carry over, amplified phones, Braille phones, hands-free phones and photo phones.
Provides a relay operator and voice recognition software to translate an operator's spoken word to text.

The local service site for the free phone distribution program offered to Illinoisians who are deaf, hard of hearing, late deafened, speech impaired, or deaf/blind. Provides amplifield phones, CapTel phones, and Braille phones to those individuals whose hearing loss can be verified by by physician.
Offers services which assist persons with disabilities in achieving and/or maintaining independence. Services include, but are not limited to: - Information and Referral (personal assistant, interpreter, and housing referrals). - Access and Advocacy (accessibility surveys, assistive devices, Braille printing). - Skills Development (personal assistant management training, basic computer skills, public transit use, budgeting). - Counseling (independent living, peer, vocational). - Free Amplified Phones for Illinois residents with verifiable hearing loss who have a land line. - Independent Living Needs Assessment. - Mass Transit District Disability Verification. - Reintegration into the community from nursing home, etc. (This includes possible financial assistance for moving home or into supportive living). - PACE Presentations - PACE will readily provide sign language interpreters to access PACE events on request.
