Provide assisted technology training.
The Telecommunications Access Program for Telephone (TAP-T) provides access to basic voice telephone calling for individuals with all types of disabilities through the delivery of adaptive telephone equipment: text telephones, voice carry over phones, phone for hearing carry over, amplified phones, Braille phones, hands-free phones, photo phones and Captel phones. Training is also provided on the proper use of the equipment.
Provides evaluation and training for adults in adaptive technology, computers, e-mail, daily living, screen readers, wearable technology and more. Children could be referred to Society AT through the LIghthouse for the Blind.
Computer & Assistive Technology Training for the Blind/Low Vision: Provides training in the Windows operating system, word processing, spreadsheets, email and internet using optical and electronic magnification devices, scan-to-speech systems, voice note takers, voice-output PDA's and a variety of daily living aids. - TTY training is available for individuals and businesses.
