Promotes safety and health education through training, products and services. Focuses on safety on roads, in workplaces and in homes/communities.

Driving services - ADD (Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving) focuses on changing the behavior of problem drivers by offering education about the consequences of offensive driving, collisions, and moving violations.

Defensive Driving provides education about traffic death and injury prevention, as well as safe driving issues including airbags, antilock braking systems, safety belts, child restraints, and substance abuse.

STOP (Safety Training Option Program) traffic Diversion program for minor traffic citations. Students complete an 8-hour defensive driving course and the minor traffic citation is dismissed. Can only take STOP once every three years.

Teen Driver Education Program, certified by the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles, for youth who want to learn how to drive a motor vehicle and obtain the POP (Provisional Operators License). The program provides 22 hours of classroom instruction and 5 1/2 hours hands-on behind the wheel training.

Workplace Services:
First Aid/CPR/AED offered monthly; on-site classes are also available for organizations. First Aid certificates good for three years, and CPR/AED certificates are good for two years.

Workplace Safety Training offers safety and health training for safety professionals, managers, supervisors, and employees. Types of programs include compliance courses for OSHA, EPA, and D.O.T., safety committees, accident/incident investigation, safety inspections, First Aid/CPR/AED training, bloodborne pathogens training and many more. Provides consulting services for organizations such as industrial hygiene services, Comprehensive Safety and Environmental Audits, and development of written safety programs.

Childhood health education, including First Aid.

Offers CPR/First Aid Training classes to anyone interested. Can also provide Heart-Saver and Health Care Provider CPRIAED.
Offers CPR and First Aid classes through the Mercy College of Health Sciences.

Heartsaver CPR and First Aid Training allows participants to learn the lifesaving techniques of CPR, conscious obstructed airways, and basic first aid techniques including AED. Participants will practice on mannequins in small groups under the direction of qualified instructors. Different levels of training are offered depending on the need.

Basic Life Support CPR classes are offered for healthcare professionals using American Heart Association approved material. Health professionals who successfully complete the courses are granted Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

Provides 24-hour emergency relief to individuals and families affected by disasters such as house fires, earthquakes, floods, tornados, etc. Educates people in how to prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. Health and Safety Services offer courses in first aid, CPR, child-care, nurse assistant training, babysitting, swimming-life guarding and more on a regular basis. Courses and training are offered at the Chapter facilities or can be arranged at different localities for businesses and groups. Blood Services collects blood donations and supplies safe blood and blood products to local healthcare providers. Also offers various types of volunteering opportunities for adults and youth.
Northeast Iowa Community College offers two-session class offered periodically to assist participants in recognizing and treating life threatening emergencies, rescue breathing and CPR, and relief of foreign body airway obstruction in adults, children, and infants. Also included is first aid techniques including checking for responsiveness and injury, temperature related illnesses, stroke, diabetes, bandaging and wound care.
Veterans Memorial Hospital offers health-related classes for patients and the general public. Classes offered include: prepared childbirth classes, Alzheimer's and dementia series, and CPR classes.

Substance abuse prevention through the Healthy Communities Initiative. Coalition works together to provide education and activities to reduce drug and alcohol use among youth.

Childhood and adult vaccines for all people are provided at each of Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department's three locations in Norfolk, Tekamah and Wisner. Includes vaccines for those who are privately insured, Medicare, Medicaid and those who are uninsured.
