Chinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA) Healthcare Employment Preparation Program offers healthcare literacy courses and holistic case management to program participants. The class is for adult learners interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. The class focuses on strengthening participants' employability skills, English reading and writing skills, and preparing students to enter a career within the healthcare industry or pursue further educational opportunities. Students will receive exposure to healthcare industry professions and earn an Adult/Pediatric CPR & First Aid Certification from the American Red Cross.

Enlace trains and employs community leaders as Community Health Workers (CHWs), or Promotorxs de Salud. A CHW is a public health worker who is a trusted member of the community in which they work; this allows them to serve as liaisons between residents and providers, and to validate the knowledge, culture and traditions of local families.

TEACH (Tutoring English to Advance Change) offers a health literacy program that combines culturally-sensitive classroom experience with one-on-one tutoring to focus on each student's unique health issues and those of their families. In addition, native English speakers would be available to accompany learners to health care appointments to ensure that information is communicated in a way and at a language level appropriate to the learner.
