Village of Hoffman Estates Health & Human Services provides a variety of health services to the adult and senior community including vaccinations, TB skin testing, cholesterol testing, hemoglobin A1C screenings, a medical equipment lending closet, and a monthly senior luncheon.

Village of Park Forest Community Health offers information related to health education and referrals to local health-related services. Community Health services include well-being checks on residents and a medical equipment loan closet.

Village of Schaumburg loans out medical equipmentto Schaumburg Township residents for 90 days.

Arthur C. Nielsen, Jr. Campus in Northfield operates a Lending Closet from which people can borrow durable medical equipment. The Lending Closet is particularly useful for older adults who are recovering at home after surgery or illness. Items can be borrowed for a period of three months. Extended borrowing periods can sometimes be accommodated, if inventory permits.

Palatine Township Senior Citizens Council (PTSCC) hosts a variety of programming accessible to local seniors.

St Josephine Bakhita Catholic Church provides supplies necessary to manage general health and/or specific diseases/conditions, such as hospital beds. They accept donations for the supplies.

Orland Township Nurses' Closet provides residents with medical equipment at no cost for a 60-day period. Residents may find equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs, crutches, shower chairs, unopened disposable pads and adult incontinence products.

Lemont Township offers gently used medical equipment to township residents. Those needing a piece of medical equipment can visit the office and borrow items for as long as needed. When done, sanitize the items and return them to the township. Available items may include canes, crutches, knee scooters, shower chairs, walkers, wheelchairs, and more.

Palos Township offers medical supplies which residents may borrow for an unlimited time. Supplies include wheelchairs, walkers, canes, shower chairs, and toilet seats/chairs. Supply is dependent on donations and is first come first served.

Village of Morton Grove lends walkers, canes, and other health equipment for periods of up to 12 months.

ALS United Greater Chicago sells and provides supplies necessary to manage health for those with ALS.

Proviso Township provides medical equipment for loans whenever possible. Individuals may borrow equipment for up to 30 days and renew monthly. The Township also accepts donations of medical equipment in good condition.

The Durable Medical Equipment Exchange is a free service that connects people with disabilities to organizations, companies, and individuals who have available durable medical equipment they can use. Equipment includes items such as: wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, canes, crutches, power chairs, commodes, seating, and positioning items.

Angelcare and Medical Equipment Supply provides the basic medical supplies such as band-aids, washing solution, thermometers, dressings, gauze, etc.

Riverside Township Nurse's Closet makes durable medical equipment available to Riverside Township residents on short-term loans (no more than 3 months). Available for loan at no charge. Available equipment may include commodes, bath benches and seats, walkers, crutches, canes, and wheelchairs.

Bloom Township offers a variety of Health & Exercise programs such as a medical loan closet, podiatry services, chair yoga, and line dancing aimed at serving senior members of the community.
