Chicago Family Health Center (CFHC) provides phone or in-person assistance at their South Chicago site with getting insurance authorization for medications, or if the pharmacy needs additional verification. If your insurance does not cover your prescription, the dispensary technicians will help you apply for patient assistance if you qualify for discounted medications.
PrimeCare Health Community Health Centers are Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) whose HIV Prevention Program (HPP) team can help with full STI and HIV testing, PrEP, and PEP prescriptions to prevent the transmission of HIV, and free condoms. Also, linkage to care and medication assistance to receive medication for free.

Provides short term, emergency assistance to residents of Johnson County. Assistance includes rent, lot rent, utilities (gas, electric, water), non-food and emergency food vouchers. Assistance is possible up to 3 months in a 12 month period. A new application must be submitted each month assistance is needed. Rent assistance will not be used to supplements Section 8 Housing Assistance or other federally subsidized units. Veterans are referred to Johnson County Veterans Affairs. If not currently employed, all adult members of the household must be actively seeking employment. Applicants who state they are unable to work may be required to provide written verification from a doctor.
