Provides several services for mothers who are pregnant or have recently had a child.  Services provided

- Job search assistance. 

• Medical transportation (within 15 miles of Freeport).
• Up to two years of housing.
• Development of child nurturing skills.
• Development of self-sufficiency skills.

Provides a maternity home (NOT A SHELTER) dedicated to the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, helping through postpartum care of single pregnant mothers, girls that are not pregnant but have an infant, or girls who are pregnant with another young child (infant) with them. It is a safe haven where they can stay while learning the skills, get basic needs and counseling they need to make a better life for themselves and their babies.

Offers help to first and second-time parents managing the demands of caring for a child during the first three years of life. Family-support workers visit the home to encourage new parents by building on their strengths, emphasizing the joys of parenting and easing concerns with education and hands-on assistance. Services can start before the baby is born with prenatal home visits by a doula.

Services include:

- Free meetings led by volunteer Leaders who are experienced with breastfeeding and are accredited by La Leche League International.

- Support between meetings for breastfeeding challenges, such as positioning and latch, being sure the baby is getting enough milk, soreness, pumping and milk storage, etc.

- Teaches parents about the ages and stages of breastfeeding.

- Creates a community of support by bringing breastfeeding families together.

Offers support and education groups that cover the advantages of breastfeeding, how to breastfeed, starting solids, childbirth, and weaning. Groups meet monthly, and meetings last about 90 minutes. Accredited leaders also provide breastfeeding information by phone.

Meeting Information:

- Day meeting - Held the second Tuesday of each month at 10 am, at St. John's United Methodist Church (109 West 14th Street, Davenport, in the upstairs children's room).

- Night meeting - Held the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7 pm, at UnityPoint Hospital, Bettendorf (Room 2224); dads are welcome at this meeting.

Offers support services to pregnant women including pregnancy tests, parenting classes, pre-natal classes, ultrasounds, and information on community resources. Also offers "Earn While You Learn" program that allows new parents to earn credits through education that can be used towards purchasing baby necessities.
