Chicago Volunteer Doulas, Inc., provides evidenced-based information on things such as infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, parental bonding with baby, infant soothing, and basic newborn care. CVD will provide around 20 hours of postpartum care within the first 12 weeks after birth. Services include support with infant feeding, light housework, baby care basics, light meal prep, and postpartum self-care.

Provides a maternity home (NOT A SHELTER) dedicated to the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, helping through postpartum care of single pregnant mothers, girls that are not pregnant but have an infant, or girls who are pregnant with another young child (infant) with them. It is a safe haven where they can stay while learning the skills, get basic needs and counseling they need to make a better life for themselves and their babies.

Patients receive pre- and post-natal care, program referrals, insurance registration and assistance, immunizations up to the age of one, well-baby visits, home visitation, diapers, formula, CTA fare, food pantry access, quarterly baby showers, baby clothing, support group meetings, and access to emergency funds when available.
