Provides youth, age 16 to 21 with positive employment experiences, mentoring within the workplace, and continuing emphasis on education with the goal of producing self-sufficient, law-abiding adults.
Youth Biz Entrepreneur Project: partnership with local businesses to teach business startup skills and concepts--start a school based business. GED instruction for youth. Youth Job Development skills training available.
Teaches youth how to become entrepreneurs, networking, understanding what jobs are available and matches youth with the jobs that are available.
Prepares youth for personal success in employment, education, healthy lifestyles, and self-sufficiency through mentored support. The worksite mentoring program offers job readiness classes and case management to youth who need assistance in gaining and obtaining employment. A worksite mentor is assigned to the youth once employment is obtained. The mentor acts as a support for the youth while at work.

Building Futures YouthBuild: Receive pre-apprentice certification in facilities maintenance in just four months, learn construction skills and be prepared to enter the workforce and earn certification and GED.

The Explorer or worksite-based program is delivered through a collaborative effort of schools, businesses, and corporations. The hands-on program allows the participant to work with someone in a particular field to learn more about the career opportunity.

Roll Call's Mentoring Employment Training Program (MET) provides youth and young adults employment opportunities, career development training, and a path to educational endeavors while actively participating in part-time and full-time subsidized work experience. The goal of the program is to address the lack of employment opportunities or disparities in underserved communities, which have been affected by the shortage of employment training, educational opportunities, and youth violence.Participants will be provided with temporary part-time/full-time work experience and mentoring; transitioning to unsubsidized employment opportunities with a non-profit agency, community-based organization, and the private sector.

Chicago Cultural Performing Arts & Media Alliance offers a variety of youth programming meant to engage, inspire, and create positive relationships. The Youth Arts Education Program is a multi-disciplinary initiative designed and administered by local artists in partnership with their professional staff to provide hands-on opportunities to explore dance, visual arts, theatre, music, and more. The one-to-one mentorship and youth camps provides children the opportunity to develop positive skills.

Adult/Child Mentoring Programs
A Summer Youth Employment Program that places and supports youth in unsubsidized employment, or through an agreement with the employer to fully or partially subsidize the youth's wages for a period not to exceed 9 months (39 weeks). Fully or partially subsidized wages and may also be paid by the grant for youth participating in a Youth Apprenticeship program for a total period not to exceed 9 months (39 weeks). Youth will gain valuable job training, career advising, and real-world work experience.
