Training specialists work with indviduals with disabilities in the community through job development to secure employment and maintain employment long-term. Goal of program is to find a match with the indvidual and employer that is mutually beneficial. Also works with high schools in Cooper and Howard Counties to provide community employment services for high school seniors with developmental disabilities.

Comprehensive Disability Related Employment Programs
Individual Placement & Support (IPS): provides an evidence-based practice that provides employment opportunities for individuals struggling with mental health, substance use, and/or other concerns.
Career Services include skills assessments at various sites that interest the consumer, which then leads to job development. Once employment is placed, the consumer then is eligible to receive "job training" supports for a period of time after initial hire.
Supported employment services may be available for individuals with significant disabilities requiring special on-the-job supervision. A Vocational Rehabilitation counselor will work with individuals to determine eligibility for services.
Provides individuals with an intellectual and/or developmental disability support to obtain employment in a healthcare environment.
Individuals receive support through job assessments, individual community employment, work crews, and enclaves.
Talent Connect: A training and employment project that helps companies in St. Louis build diverse workforces that are inclusive of people with disabilities, focuses on the manufacturing and distribution industries.
Provides employment and case management services to persons who are choosing a sheltered workshop setting. Some of the piece-rate work experiences available include packaging, assembly, collating and machine operation.
Helps individuals with developmental disabilities obtain and maintain employment. Once employed, individuals and their employers continue to receive support, such as coaching, retention support and awareness training.
Employment for Adults with Disabilities: Supported employment.
Community Employment Services: Provides job placement, supported employment, job coaching services to persons with disabilities who want to work, job seeking skills training and job club.

Job Discovery: Offers opportunities for individuals with autism spectrum disorder to explore job skills, interests and strengths. This will be done through volunteer work, job exploration, job shadowing, informational interviewing, labor market research, exploration of job/work tasks and preparation of an employment plan.
Supported Employment is employment for adults with disabilities working in the community with the aid of a job coach. Community Employment Service is employment for adults with disabilities working in the community with minimal support from a job coach for a short time.
Supported Employment: A program designed to meet the employment needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. The components involved are discovery and exploration, job development, job coaching and long-term retention.
