Niles Township General Assistance offers financial assistance to eligible Niles Township residents who currently have no income due to lack of employment or are awaiting a decision on their Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) claim. Eligible individuals can receive up to $700 a month toward rent or utilities paid directly to the vendor on behalf of the client. You must be 18 years or older and be actively seeking employment or social security benefits to qualify.
Leyden Township General Assistance program is a state-mandated, locally administered welfare program designed to support township residents experiencing financial hardship. General Assistance is designed to be a safety net after all other resources have been exhausted. The General Assistance program can provide monthly financial assistance to eligible Leyden Township residents, who currently have no income due to lack of employment or are awaiting a decision on their Supplemental Security Income (SSI) claim. Eligible individuals can receive up to $319.00 a month towards rent or utilities, paid directly to the vendor on behalf of the client. The General Assistance office also offers referrals and information regarding eligibility for other assistance programs.

Bloom Township General Assistance is a locally administered program mandated by the State of Illinois, which assists those persons who are not eligible for any other state of federally-funded program. General Assistance (GA) helps Bloom Township residents who do not have income or resources to meet their basic needs. Bloom Township works with various vendors and community organizations to assist individuals with becoming self-sufficient.
Proviso Township General Assistance is a program that helps with basic maintenance needs for single residents of Proviso Township who have no income or financial resources and are not eligible for Federal or State assistance.
Elk Grove Township General Assistance, or GA, is a public assistance program for adults that are ineligible for other state or federal programs, such as TANF, and who meet the eligibility guidelines. GA can help those who are currently unemployed and looking for work or those who have applied for disability and are awaiting their case decision. There are both financial as well as non-financial qualifying factors. Those who qualify may receive a monthly allotment for shelter, food, transportation, utilities, and personal essentials.
Berwyn Township administers the state-mandated General Assistance program, designed to help Berwyn Residents in need who are not eligible for Social Security or a state-supported program. Residents who qualify are able to come to the Township for assistance. Those eligible have either very low or no income or financial resources. Residents must be 18 years of age or older, with no minor children, and must meet all eligibility conditions.
