Scholarships may be used for tuition and fees, textbooks, supplies or room and/or board. - Employment Support: Assists eligible clients to obtain/maintain employment with such items as daycare costs, transportation, and work supplies. Provides short-term assistance to relatives or close family supporters (fictive kin) who have been caring for a child/children informally. Relative caregivers receive assistance in obtaining guardianship of the child for whom they are providing care. Also helps resolve any crisis the family may be facing and prepares the relative caregivers to achieve permanent for the child as well as for them. Services aim to prevent children's entry into out-of-home care and help children achieve permanency. Additionally, families are provided with financial assistance, if needed, to address needs such as clothing for the child(ren), additional needed furniture to accommodate the child(ren) such as mattresses, beds, and linen, and helping the child(ren) to be enrolled in school by acquiring birth certificates of child(ren). Also helps family identify appropriate additional benefits to which they may be entitled. Services may include: - Assistance in obtaining guardianship. - Education on navigating the court system and proceedings. - Help obtaining a child-only grant, subsidized day care and other entitlements. - Guidance on enrolling children in local schools. - Assistance with financial and housing issues. - Cash and in-kind assistance to help meet the basic needs of the family. - Referral linkages to other needed community resources including legal services, and medical and mental health services.

Employer Contracted Services: - Enhanced referral services as well as presentations and parenting seminars on childcare issues. Employer services are fee-based; call for specific information. Early Childhood Professional Services: - Training handbook is distributed twice a year. Training scholarships, conferences, CPR and First Aid training, workshops, and other early childhood professional development opportunities. An Infant/Toddler Specialist and a Mental Health Consultant are available to provide training, consultation, and resources. Child Care Provider Recruitment Services: - Lists legally-operating programs to provide available child care options to parents in the four-county service area. Resources and workshops on opening and operating a child care program are available to interested individuals.

Provides an array of services for low-income Kane County residents: - GED Assistance: Covers cost of books and/or GED test fees. - Emergency Assistance: One-time assistance (must be a crisis situation- like the temporary loss of a job or an unexpected car repair bill) to cover emergency rental, medical, glasses, transportation, or dental care services. - Childcare subsidy: Assistance with paying weekly co-payment for childcare expenses. - College scholarships. - Online Tutoring Services: Assistance with paying for online tutoring services from certified instructors. - Back to School Assistance: Shopping cards to purchase a new pair of shoes for children at the start of the school year.
