Greenlight Family Services provides post-adoption services to families who have adopted a child who was previously in the Illinois foster care system. These services are offered free of cost to the family. Post-adoption services strengthen families by providing them with the support of qualified and licensed social workers. Families are connected with resources meant to aid in adoption preservation.
While Lutheran Social Services of Illinois work with the Midwest Adoption Center (MAC) to assist individuals in facilitating the appropriate connections to help in their adoption search process. Confidential Intermediary Services of Illinois is one of the options administered by the Midwest Adoption Center to assist in the search process. A confidential intermediary has access to information from court files, adoption agency files, and birth/death/marriage/divorce files.
Kids Above All facilitates permanent adoptive matches for children waiting in foster care. Kids Above All currently has one Wendy's Wonderful Kids recruiter who serves across northern Illinois. Our recruiter works with smaller caseloads, ensuring that they can provide these children with the attention, resources and support they need and find the adoptive families they deserve.

Provides services for birth parents, adoptive parents, and adopted children. Adoption Center's Programs: - Infant Adoption - The family will complete an adoption home study, become licensed as a foster parent and attend an adoption training. Adoptive families typically have an infant placement within 12-18 months. The Center requires potential adoptive parents to be at least 21-years-old. Families can come in all shapes and sizes and supports all potential parents in their dream of becoming a family. - International Adoption - The Center completes adoption home study services, foster home licensing services, and post placement visits for families pursuing international adoption. The Center keeps extensive adoption records on file for children and families who completed adoptions through the agency. The adoption specialist is happy to assist an individual in locating information from his or her adoption file. There is a small fee for birth searches and fees are based on the time it takes to locate records.

Hopeful Beginnings has social workers able to meet at a location that is most comfortable for you and at the hospital if needed. Their social workers are available 24/7 throughout Illinois. The goal is to empower and educate you on your rights and options regarding an unplanned pregnancy.

- Works to match families waiting to adopt with birthparents who choose to make an adoption plan for their newborn. - Caritas may also provide services to adoptive families who already have a prospective match or may have already received a placement of a child on their own. - If the families chooses, the Agency may assist them in networking or they may independently search on their own to locate a prospective match.

Provides services to couples and singles in all three programs: - Agency Assisted Adoption: Includes home study and collaborating with another agency to place through the partnering agency. - General Domestic Adoption Program: Includes home study and placement of infants, also offer the Sayers Center program which seeks to find homes for African American babies and promote adoption awareness within the African American community. - Intercountry Program: Includes home study and working with another agency internationally. Provides guidance and support during periods of match and placement. Conducts post placement visits and reporting in accordance with the placing state or country's requirements.
