YWCA Elgin is now a proud provider of Tiny Boots, free childcare for Veteran! The Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs has partnered with the YWCA Metropolitan Chicago and the Federal VA to provide quality, childcare at No Cost while veterans attends scheduled medical or counseling appointments; or job interview.
This program provides full-workday, year-round care and education for children between six weeks and three years of age. This program is welcome to both English and Spanish speakers. Families with enrolled children have access to a monthly free diaper drive hosted by the agency.

Mary Crane Center provides home-based early education services that incorporate the evidence-based curriculum - Parents as Teachers program. Free diapers are also made available to families with children already enrolled at Mary Crane Center or who are participating in their Home-Based programs.
Child care for the infant and toddler children of adolescent parent students while the parents are attending school (or school-related activities, including Class Work Training). The center provides all nutrition for the children, other than formula or breast milk, through participation in the Child and Adult Care Food Program and access to on-site Well Baby Clinics and Immunizations with Visiting Nurses. Formal parent education classes are held every Wednesday after school until 4 pm. Informal parent education is shared regularly.
Offers an integrated and specialized childcare program that promotes individual development gains, kindergarten readiness, teaches children compassion, understanding, provides a safe, secure and a nurturing environment for children of all abilities.

Provides year-round learning for children ages 0-3. Educare provides year-round learning for children ages 0-5.

Offers child care services where through the development of a preschool, child care, and before and after school programming, all children and adolescents (0-18 years old), and those with and without disabilities, have the opportunity to learn and play in the same inclusive environment, therefore benefiting both groups.

Also offers specialized child care for children that have medical needs or need nursing services. Each child participating in the Childcare Medical Services program will have an individualized plan with lower staff to child ratios.

Day care for children ages 2-5; available Mon-Fri 6:30 am-5:30 pm.

Early learning program with an emphasis on the growth of language, social, physical, intellectual, and emotional developmental skills.

After school program provides programming for children in grades K-5. Afterschool PLUS Program available on days when school is not in session (in-service days, teacher conferences, holiday breaks, etc.). Available Mon-Fri 2:30 pm-5:30 pm and Mon-Fri 6:30 am-5:30 pm.

Summer day program provides a variety of activities including field trips, arts and crafts, ceramics, sports and recreational games, picnics, swimming at area pools, summer gardening, and development of writing and reading skills. Available Mon-Fri 6:30 am-5:30 pm.
