The primary goal of foster care is to restore children safely to their families and foster parents play an essential function in helping the child and parents maintain their family bond during the period of separation. If a child cannot return home, foster parents may provide a permanent home. When this happens, the foster parents eventually assume legal responsibility for the child as the guardian or through adoption.

Assists individuals in Illinois in becoming licensed foster parents. Also provides follow-up training for foster parents to help meet the various needs of their foster children.

Camelot Care Centers specializes in higher-level foster care for children and adolescents who may need extra support. For that reason, they partner with their foster parents/homes to provide trauma-informed care and additional services, including in-home counseling, telepsychiatry, and therapeutic mentoring.
Association House of Chicago helps foster parents meet and exceed licensing requirements. Bilingual staff provide training and support throughout the time spent as a foster parent, so individuals and families can make a difference in the life of a child.
Foster Care: Offers placement of children in foster care through a contract with DCFS and recruitment of foster families, as well as licensing of foster care homes. LCFS can help you become a licensed foster parent and provide support as you open your heart to children in need of a safe, loving home and be supportive to parents.
