Providing a Thanksgiving community meal for Champaign County residents. Meal is hosted at the Washington Square Apartments in the community room on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2 pm-5 pm.

Offers Thanksgiving dinners to individuals in need who do not have a place to go and would like to spend time with others within the community. No reservations are required to attend the dinner.

Partners with Toys For Tots and Midwest Food Bank to provide toys and a Christmas food box for families/individuals in need.

Offers Thanksgiving food boxes, available on a first come first served basis.

Thanksgiving provides turkeys or ham for Thanksgiving as part of regular food distribution the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

Christmas Provides ham as part of regular food distribution the Saturday before Christmas.

Provides a "Toy Store" for families who are unable to buy Christmas presents for their children due to economic conditions. Also are given a ham, potatoes, vegetable, and dessert to prepare Christmas dinner at home.

Register November 17-26, 2025, from 8 am-4 pm, at the Harlem Township, 819 Melbourne Avenue. Must live in Machesney Township.

Offering thanksgiving baskets for families in need on Monday, November 24th, 2025, during regular hours as supplies last. Baskets include a turkey, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, dinner rolls, sweet potatoes, pie, green beans, and a roasting pan. Donations of any amount are appreciated. 

Provides gifts to low income children in Jefferson County during the Christmas holiday.

Gifts distributed to low income seniors. To register to receive a Senior Secret Santa gift, please call (563) 386-7477, limited space available.

The mission of the program is to collect and distribute new unwrapped toys as Christmas gifts to children less fortunate in the local community, ages 6 months-12 years. Toy application information for 2025: 10/1/25: Application open date. 11/26/25: Application close date. 10/13/25: Application response start date. 11/29/25: Application response end date.

Registration during regular food pantry hours (Mon, Wed, Fri 9 am-11:30 am, 3rd Wed only afternoon pantry 2:30 pm-5 pm) beginning October 2, 2026, until all slots are filled. Choose a Thanksgiving or Christmas basket.

2026 YouthHope Holiday Food Baskets

Holiday Food Basket Application begin October 1, 2026. Holiday baskets include holiday meal food items and a grocery gift certificate. Baskets are limited. Clients who apply for a food basket from another agency are not eligible. First-come, first-served. Basket recipients will receive a basket pick-up card at the time of application with details.

Application must be completed in-person during Food Pantry hours: Monday & Friday 9 am-12 pm. Families may select either Thanksgiving OR Christmas while supplies last. Please one ONE basket per family per year.
