Thanksgiving provides turkeys or ham for Thanksgiving as part of regular food distribution the Saturday before Thanksgiving.

Christmas Provides ham as part of regular food distribution the Saturday before Christmas.

Provides a "Toy Store" for families who are unable to buy Christmas presents for their children due to economic conditions. Also are given a ham, potatoes, vegetable, and dessert to prepare Christmas dinner at home.

Register November 17-26, 2025, from 8 am-4 pm, at the Harlem Township, 819 Melbourne Avenue. Must live in Machesney Township.

Provides gifts to low income children in Jefferson County during the Christmas holiday.

The mission of the program is to collect and distribute new unwrapped toys as Christmas gifts to children less fortunate in the local community, ages 6 months-12 years. Toy application information for 2025: 10/1/25: Application open date. 11/26/25: Application close date. 10/13/25: Application response start date. 11/29/25: Application response end date.

Registration during regular food pantry hours (Mon, Wed, Fri 9 am-11:30 am, 3rd Wed only afternoon pantry 2:30 pm-5 pm) beginning October 2, 2026, until all slots are filled. Choose a Thanksgiving or Christmas basket.

2026 YouthHope Holiday Food Baskets

Holiday Food Basket Application begin October 1, 2026. Holiday baskets include holiday meal food items and a grocery gift certificate. Baskets are limited. Clients who apply for a food basket from another agency are not eligible. First-come, first-served. Basket recipients will receive a basket pick-up card at the time of application with details.

Application must be completed in-person during Food Pantry hours: Monday & Friday 9 am-12 pm. Families may select either Thanksgiving OR Christmas while supplies last. Please one ONE basket per family per year.

Provides wrapped gifts and other treats and goodies for children ages 3-12 residing in the Quad Cities area.

Provides food for the entire family at Christmas time and toys for children age 13 and younger.  Only available to Northern Champaign County residents.  Must provide proof of income for the last 30 days.  Proof of address needed for all members of the household (For example, Medicaid card, report card, daycare letter, doctors bill, etc.)

Registration begins November 3-22, 2025, Mon-Fri 10 am-4 pm, Sat 9 am-12 pm.  Please visit office and provided necessary documents.

Offers holiday assistance for parents who are unemployed or underemployed. Gift and food distribution will take place at the Midwest Food Bank, 2031 Warehouse Road, Normal (off of Northtown Road, north of I-55 in Normal).

Registration is online. Starting in mid-October, visit the website or Facebook page to access the form. the form swill jol longer be available one tall spots are filled.

Distribution, Dec 13, 2025 from 8 am-11 am. This will be a drive-in, drive-out event and packages will be loaded in vehicles. Children do not need to be present to receive a gift.

Offers a community Thanksgiving meal in November. Residents may apply for special food box and toy distributions for Christmas.

Helps provide Christmas gifts for children and senior adults each year. Once registered and accepted, each Angel’s Christmas wish list is shared with donors in the community, who purchase new clothing and toys for the family.

Provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day of the year. Special holiday meals are offered at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.

Breakfast Mon-Sun 7:30 am, Lunch Mon-Sun: 11:30 a.m. Dinner Mon-Sun: 5:00 p.m.

Thanksgiving Meal Wednesday before Thanksgiving: 12 pm.

Christmas Meal Christmas Eve Day 12 pm.
