Holiday Gift and Food Basket applications may be picked up at the SENCA office in Falls City or Humboldt, starting October 28th, 2024. No applications will be accepted after November 15th at 4 pm.

Holiday food baskets at Thanksgiving and Christmas Toy Shopping.

For Thanksgiving & Christmas 2024:

The 2024 Thanksgiving Food Basket Giveaway is held at the PCM Help Center (6800 P Street, Lincoln) on Saturday, 11/23/24. Giving away 500 Thanksgiving meal baskets to those in need, from 9 am-11 am or until supplies run out.

Free Thanksgiving meal at People's City Mission (110 Q Street, Lincoln). Serving a full Thanksgiving meal to not only all of the homeless in Lincoln, but to anyone who would otherwise be alone on Thanksgiving and could use a meal. Serving at 11:30 am-1:30 pm on Thanksgiving Day. Expecting to serve around 700 meals.

Santa's Workshop Christmas Toy Giveaway for families in need will be held at the People's City Mission Help Center (6800 P Street, Lincoln) on Saturday, 12/14/24 from 10:30 am-12:30 pm. Anticipating to help over 5,000 people, including shelter guests and low-income families who shop at the Help Center. Shoppers will need to have a Clarity card to participate. Clarity cards can be obtained at the Help Center each Tuesday from 9-11 am. No appointment necessary.

2024 - Will not be providing food baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Provides toys to those in need during the Christmas holidays. Applications for holiday toy assistance are being taken Oct. 8, 2024-Nov. 8, 2024. Program available for infants through age 12. Visit the Salvation Army Angel Tree website to sign up.

Offers a Toys for Tots sign ups. Toys for Tot sign-ups held November 1 through December 4, 2024. Can only sign children up that are 14 years old and under. The church will reach back out to registered clients and let them know when and where the pick up will be.

Sign up for food at the Kearney Salvation Army (North doors) at 1719 Central Ave, Kearney. Signing up for toys is a separate process.

For Christmas Toys, the sign-up for the Goodfellows/Salvation Army Angel Tree toys is for children ages 18 and under. Applications are for Buffalo County zip codes only. Applicants must apply online at www.saangeltree.org

Offer Christmas Baskets. Sign-ups are Nov 6, 2024 to Dec 11, 2024. Baskets need to be picked up at the pantry either Dec 18th or Dec 23rd., 2024.

Coordinates Angel Tree for adults and children every year for the Christmas holiday. Come in to the food pantry to register from November 6, 2024, through December 11, 2024. Must be resident of the cities of Slater or Sheldahl.

The mission of the program is to collect and distribute new unwrapped toys as Christmas gifts to children less fortunate in the local community, ages 6 months-12 years.

The Salvation Army Angel Tree registration is held at the Salvation Army on the following dates:
Tuesdays, November 5, 12, 19, 26 from 10 am-4 pm.
Thursdays, November 7, 14, 21 from 10 am-6 pm.

Provides gifts to foster families by seeking donations or monetary donations used to purchase gifts, for children. Services include gift wrapping and delivering the gifts to the foster parents before Christmas day. Program may also provide gifts to adult residential clients. Will provide letter of thanks for donation for tax purposes.

Thanksgiving 2024 meal deliveries to those who are in the following zip codes 50316, 50317, 50327, 50009, 50319. Thanksgiving meal delivery will be from 9:30 am-10:30 am, pick up will be from 11 am-11:30 am, dine in will be from 11:30 am-1 pm on Thanksgiving Day.

Volunteers, community groups and local businesses donate materials, food, toys and skills for seasonal holiday projects for low-income families. Provides food packages and allowances to purchase clothes, shoes, coats, and household goods.

Projects vary annually and by county office. Community members may contact their county BVCA office for details about local holiday programs.

Matches low-income families with organizations that want to adopt a family for Christmas. Families provide a list of the wants/needs of the children. Registration runs November 1-3, 2024, from 10 am-4 pm and on November 4, 2024, from 10 am-2 pm.

The pantry will be stocked with some holiday items for the 2024 holiday season, Monday-Friday from 9 am-11 am.

Thanksgiving Morning there will be an in-house Thanksgiving Meal at the Parish Center from 9 to 11. A traditional Thanksgiving Meal will be served.

There will be an in-house Christmas ham dinner with side dishes on Friday, December 20th in the Parish Center from 9 to 11.

Photo ID is required at the time of sign-up. Phone sign-ups are no longer accepted. Open to residents of the City of Davenport, Iowa. Only one voucher per address.

Provides gifts and clothing for the Christmas season to children of eligible households in Hancock, Henderson, and McDonough counties.

Partners with Toys For Tots and Midwest Food Bank to provide toys and a Christmas food box for families/individuals in need.
