Provides weekly backpacks of non-perishable food items to students during the school year, delivered directly to their homes. During the summer, students are provided monthly boxes of fresh produce and food for meals. Also, provides Thanksgiving and Christmas meals.

Applications for the 2025 Christmas season (Toy Shop and Angel Tree) begins Nov 3.

Angel tree applications close Dec 5, 2025, or until all spots are full.

Provides a Toys for Tots sign up during the holiday season. The program screens each applicant and checks with other organizations in the community to maximize the number of families helped during the holiday season and reduce the number of duplications.

Works in partnership with the US Marine Corp each year to offer the Toys for Tots program. Children must be age 12 or younger and reside in the household.

Offers a Christmas toy program for children ages 0-17. Pre-registration is required, visit website on November 12-December 2nd to sign up, first come first serve. Registering is not a promise of service until confirmation and further instructions are given. Calls may begin as soon as one week after the beginning of registration. Gifts will be given on Saturday, December 6th, 2025, at 11 am-3 pm. 

Christmas Food Voucher and a toy for children 17 or under. For Christmas 2025, applicants are encouraged to call their local Salvation Army office for details or signup oline at saangeltree.org.

Provides Christmas food baskets, as well as Christmas gifts for children.

Provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day of the year. Special holiday meals are offered at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.

Breakfast Mon-Sun: 7:30 am, Lunch Mon-Sun: 11:30 am, Dinner Mon-Sun: 5 pm, at chapel.

Thanksgiving Meal Wednesday before Thanksgiving: 12 pm.

Christmas Meal Christmas Eve Day 12 pm.

Easter Meal Easter Sunday: 12 pm.

Thanksgiving and Christmas food boxes and Christmas gift distribution for families in the Tri-City area, all on a registered basis.

Please note: To better process information in a timely manner, TSA asks that registrants bring all of the required documents with them at the time of registration. If residents do not have all the information requested, TSA will be unable to process their request. Also, please leave children at home with an adult due to the lengthy registration process.

Christmas gifts to children whose parents are incarcerated. Camping and Sports Camps offered to children whose parents are incarcerated.

The program is active for Christmas 2025; the parent(s) in prison must register through their prison chaplain.

The mission of the program is to collect and distribute new unwrapped toys as Christmas gifts to children less fortunate in the local community, ages 6 months-12 years. Toy application information for 2025: 10/1/25: Application open date. 11/26/25: Application close date. 10/13/25: Application response start date. 11/29/25: Application response end date.

Toy Distribution: Starts 10/28/2025, ends 12/19/2025. Approved applicants will be notified of specific distribution dates and locations.

Offers seasonal services, including holiday food baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas, with gift cards for turkey, holiday toys and gifts as supplies last, Easter baskets for youth, and Back-to-school supplies and backpacks for students in August.

Provides curbside distribution of holiday provisions for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Provides gifts to low income children in Jefferson County during the Christmas holiday.

Provides a "Toy Store" for families who are unable to buy Christmas presents for their children due to economic conditions. Also are given a ham, potatoes, vegetable, and dessert to prepare Christmas dinner at home.

Register November 17-26, 2025, from 8 am-4 pm, at the Harlem Township, 819 Melbourne Avenue. Must live in Machesney Township.
